Or maybe it's a desperate attempt to get us to spend our way out of recession. So dust off those long hidden hoards of coins and Save The Economy by shopping. You know it makes sense. They told you.

I saw this there too. They must think we're really, really stupid if they think we'll pay for this, when the bank (if you bank with it) does it for free. As it should.
Can only hope they've got their market research wrong on this.
Blimey, it never occurred to me that they might charge for the service.
If they do, perhaps that IS alchemy!
